So let's get acquainted, shall we?
You, fine people can call me Ryan, though I'm known as "ry-no" at my home range (not necessarily my choice but hey what can you do... it works haha). I'm an amateur competitive archer and coach in Central Illinois.
What's the purpose of this blog you ask?
Well, how nice of you to ask. As a general, overarching statement the goal of this blog is to further the sport of archery. I remember the first time I drew back a bow and as best I can describe it, it was almost a religious or spiritual experience. From that point on wards I was hooked, and while I would not expect others to elevate their archery experience to the level of religion; there is a tremendous amount of good that can come from participation in archery such as discipline and stress management.
In this blog you will find everything from my own training notes, discussions of form and technique, to reviews of equipment. I've made my fair share of mistakes throughout my shooting career and hope to help others both avoid those mistakes and overcome their own unique challenges to break through to the next level of accuracy.
Thanks for visiting
